how long before the wedding did you guys get your BM dresses? If I order mine today I will get them the last week in August for a Sept 14th wedding. This is without putting a rush on them.
The rush charge is 60 dollars a dress, I would rather not have to shell out an extra 240 for them, but to ensure I have enough time for my girls to get them altered, I'll pay the extra charge.
Plus, all of my girls live out of state but I should be seeing each other them around that time.

I ordered my dresses 2/19 and they just came in on Saturday. This time of the year is busy season for these companies. I would recommend putting a rush on the dresses since you have BM's that are out of state

Ugh, that SUCKKKKKKKS! So are you paying for their dresses? Or you would just pay for the rush fee since you moved up your wedding?
I think 2 weeks would *technically* be enough for quick alterations like hem or whatever, but add that some/most/all of your girls are not in NYC, you still have to ship the dresses to them, they have to find a seamstress and find time to GO get it altered, etc etc. I think you should just pay for the rush.
Besides, if there's a problem with a dress, you'd much rather know BEFORE 2 weeks before your wedding.
The other alternative is to find a similar style dress elsewhere that you can get quicker. Want to post a pic of it so we can help?

My BM dresses were ordered June 1st and expected in Sept. 2nd and I'm panicked about it! I should've rushed them, but didn't think it would take that long.... rush them... I know it's a lot of money...but it's paying for piece of mind, which during all the other stress going on is priceless!

If you think abut all that we're spending on our wedding, 240 more dollars is nothing. lol

I would rush them because your girls are OOT. If they have to be mailed, or if they have to come pick them up, the extra time will be helpful.

I had them order their gowns in February and they have not come in yet. Do whatever you feel most comfrotable with.

That's cutting it pretty short for alterations, especially if a dress comes in with an issue.
My BM dresses just arrived and my wedding is August 11. I would want about 6 weeks before the wedding to feel safe, personally.

If I order them today, mid-July...
Mid July is WAY better than late August... that's an extra 6 weeks so it's definitely worth the added cost.

They were 3 different styles of DaVinci dresses.
