How much do your BM dresses cost? And if youare asking them to get accessories such as specific shoes, gloves, wraps, etc? How much is reasonable to ask them to spend? I feel bad asking them to spend a lot of $$. They still then have to pay for hair, makeup, and such. Help... TIA

Re: BM dresses $$ Question...
We haven't gotten the BM dresses yet, but I am hoping to keep them around $200. Hopefully the one we decide on comes with a wrap.
They can get whetever shoes they want, they just have to match the dress (red) - I figure those will be at least $50.
As far as jewelry goes, I am most likely picking up the tab for that as well as make-up. They are on their own for their hair unless I hit Lotto!!

Re: BM dresses $$ Question...
My BM dresses were about $130. I bought them jewelery and a pocketbook as part of their gift. All they had to pay for was shoes and have them dyed, but I also let them pick their own shoes, all I said was open toed, and their hair. I had a friend of mine who works at Ulta do everyones make-up. She did it for free

Re: BM dresses $$ Question...
My dresses cost $170 and that comes with a shawl, the only other thing that I am asking people to purchase are their shoes. I tried to keep it to a minimum. The woman at the salon told me that bill levkoff bm dresses are superior quality and a great deal.

You may want to consider buying online. Lots of our girls here have done that for the exact dresses you try on in the salon and save a lot.

Re: BM dresses $$ Question...
My BM dresses are $162 + tax. I'm not asking them to get anything else unless they don't have strappy shoes they can wear with it.

Re: BM dresses $$ Question...
My BM dresses will work out to be about $230 plus acessories- like a sash, etc. which I told them I would pay for. I am also asking them to wear a specific shoe color- and most likely, they will need to buy them- but, it would be something they can wear again.
If they get their hair & make-up done, etc, they'll pay for it themselves.. It's their choice to do it, and most of my girls have people that they use regularly for weddings, etc.

Re: BM dresses $$ Question...
My BM dresses were about $280. I am probably going to get them earrings to go with the dress (as past of BM gift). Shoes are up to them...I think they are all planning on having their hair and make-up done, too.

Re: BM dresses $$ Question...
$280.00, but I gave them three different dresses to choose from and they all voted for the most expensive one.

Welp the dress I found at bridal reflections a bill levkoff was 175 I found same dress at a boutique in east rockaway for 127 including the shawl. they also have to get their own shoes what ever they want open toe to match the dress. I will get them thier jewelry- different than the jewelry for thier attendents gifts and they will have to do thier makeup and hair- again I said anyway they want.

If you need a shawl or sash made, you might want to try sewdeb.com. She made shawls for BP when I was BM and they came out great---$20. each included matching fabric (Alfred Angelo butter) and labor and shipping!

Re: BM dresses $$ Question...
Our dresses were around $200. I did not make them get specific shoes, no one sees them anyway really and everyone is comfortable in something different. I just asked that they all have them dyed brown so they matched in color.
I paid for hair as part of their wedding gift and also bought their earrings.
I did not want to have anyone spend a lot of money (actually paid for one BM dress because she is still a student and doing an unpaid residency).
