BM driving me nuts - PLEASE I NEED YOUR OPINIONS!

So one of my bridesmaids already got measured and left the deposit for her gown. Not all the bridesmaids have done this yet so technically they are not ordered. Since she got measured a few weeks ago she went on some crazy diet and lost a little weight (supposedly 10 pounds)

My problem is she has been her size ( the size she was when she got measured) for as long as I have known her. We still have awhile till the wedding and if she gains it back I dont want to have to worry about her dress fitting! btw - she is not the type to stick to things.. she does something for a week and then gives up.
I told her to leave it.. either way she will need alterations whats the difference if they need to take it in a drop more?? Shes insisting on going back and being remeasured and having them order it smaller!

I think that she should leave it they can always take it in.
how big is she to begin with?? did 10lbs make a dramatic difference?

I think she wears a 12/14 normally but they had to order her a 18W dress. She says shes lost 10 pounds but I honestly dont see it ag all. Shes just convinced since she lost the first '10 pounds' so easily shes going to loose ATUN more before the wedding

I know she is driving you crazy but please
try to be supportive of her and her attempt to shed some pounds. I am sure she wants to look the best she can for you on your special day.

She should leave the orinal measurements as they were if she continues to be successful and lose more weight then her alteration bill will just be higher than the norm. A small price to pay. I hope your other BM get on the ball and get the dresses ordered what are they waiting for?

Be supportive but definitely leave it. Could you contact the bridal shop explain the situation and see if they will play 'bad cop' for you. If the attendant of seamstress insists it won't put you in a situation with your friend. I had a friend who had to do this. Her BM never found out the real reason. I know it's not being completely honest but it will avoid any hard feelings between you two.

well i would not have her get remeasured.... i went through this also where a BM ordered a smaller size dress thasn she should have... i was annoyed because i dont need the stress in the end
my dresses run small anyway

unless she is like a 2 or a 4 then the size most likely wont change

10 pounds is a lot if you are tiny
