Ok I have 3 girls in my party, my sister, hi sister and my best friend. Now I wanted 2-3 other girls in the party but, FH had 3 guys he wanted, now it is down to 2! So now we have 3 girls, 2 guys. I still really want one of my other friends to be in the wedding party, funny thing is she just started dating the best man but, I am afraid that with it being so uneven it will look funny. Also I dont want Fh to just go and ask someone else just to have another person in the party. P.S. Fh said to me this morning that I should have asked my friend and why did I ask his sister over her? What should I do???

our bridal party was nice and even 5/5 (although 1 MOH/4BM, 2BM/3GM) but i regretted not asking another friend for a while... i just asked her 2 weeks ago even though we are uneven now! oh well

Re: BM help
I think don't worry about being uneven. You should both have the people you want.

Re: BM help
i don't think that it matters to have an uneven wedding party... you want the people closest to you, and that not might necessarily be the same as your FH

It'll be fine! I am in the same boat. I have 5 girls and FH has 7 boys. So, we'll figure it out. One girl is walking with 2 guys I think.

I have 4 girls while he has 6 guys. I don't think an even number in the bridal party is as important as having people who are really important to both of you at your side on your big day!

Re: BM help
for walking down the aisle have the guys be at the front and just have the girls walk down, then for the end of the ceremony have the girls double up with a guy! I was originally going to have to many guys and would have done this, but FH decided to go with fewer guys

Re: BM help
Yeah we're not having an even amount of bridesmaids and groomsmen. I don't even think that it is a necessity. Our whole stance is that we only want the important people to be in our bridal party. We don't want just anyone in order to make the numbers even....I only want 5 bridesmaids and he is going to have 7 or 8 groomsmen because he has 2 brothers and my sisters fiance. I want my sister (MOH) and five bridesmaids!

I'm not having an even number either, don't worry about the numbers - just choose who you really want!

Re: BM help
it actually looks very classy, and rarely looks uneven...
ive seen it both ways where two girls walk with one guy and one girl walks with two guys, and i think it looks wonderful.

Re: BM help
I was in the same situation a few weeks ago and all the girls on LIW really helped me realize that IT'S FINE!! I'm having 5-7 BMs and my FH is having his best friend as his best man. 7-1 This now gives you the opportunity to have as many girls as you want-- They can walk down together or alone, whatever you'd like. Anything goes nowadays ladies! Good Luck!
