BM might be CRAZY!!!!

Ok, so I love my Fh's Best Man, he is a great friend to both of us.
He was in a wedding last year and asked the bride 1 month before the wedding if he could bring a guest.. ((ALL of his friends were attending this wedding, and he wanted to bring some girl non of us knew from work who he wasnt dating,, just thought she was cute....).

Now he has a female friend (an aquaitance of FH and I) who moved away and we were never really GOOD friends with ... to me she would be at the bottom of my B list. However her sister IS invited with a male friend of ours,, they have been dating 4 years-... the sister who moved backed ASKED me to be invited to the wedding. I said I don;t know we are way over what we planned inviting,, etc..

So I hear last night our best man offered to her, to bring her as his GUEST if she wasnt invited!!!!
WHO SAID HE WAS GETTING '& GUEST'- Not me or FH.. they are not dating!

what you have heard and what will come to pass are 2 different topics.

Prepare yourself on your quasi-information and be prepared to hndle it.

That's all...........

Never be afraid to say no.

I heard the invite from the 4 other BP members that were in the same room 12 hours prior. I know that the info is correct.

I also KNOW she is not invited to my wedding,, just because she doesnt want to be the only one sitting at home that night. We are not inviting her out of pitty.

I don't mean to cause problems, but you're not inviting the best man with a guest?

FH and I had a similar situation at our engagement party last year, and this is what we did.

long story short, we know 3 sisters, a set of twins and a younger sister, one of the twins is not our friend and I just don't like her.

We invited the twin we like, her invite was sent to her and her live-in boyfriend. Her twin, the one I dislike was disappointed she was not invited. (don't know why, she can't stand me but she loves all of the peoplein attendance)

Twin we like was asked by her sister, twin we don't like to ditch her boyfriend and bring her instead. We found out. FH called her and told her we did not want nasty twin in attendance because we just didn't like her. We explained to our friend that if she did not want to attend alone we would rather she just declined the invite.

Twin we like came sans boyfriend and all was fine. Well, except for the hatemail we got from nasty twin wishing us poverty and 12 children we couldn't afford, but that is another story.

i was gonna ask the same thing.

he can't have a guest? i would think that BP members would be allowed a guest since they are in the BP. obviously you and your FH might have other plans---but i would think just let him bring a guest so he has someone there. no one wants to go to a wedding alone---not to mention be dateless on new year's eve.

If their guest list is long as is (I know how that goes) and he is not dating anyone -- AND if he knows a ton of people there -- I think it's perfectly fine not to.

I agree. Being a BM or MOH can be quite difficult and $$$, I would be insulted if I was the MOH and not invited with a guest. JMO
