BM own responsibility....

so as money conscious as I am...i researched where I can get the best price for the BM dresses...and I found it at RK's No frills program.....so basically all the girls have to get their own measurements and i put in the order myself to save on shippin.....so i emailed the girls and let them know i need it by Thanksgiving.....so only now i have all their measurements/sizes....grant it they did have some circumstances....so anyway...is it my responsibilty to pick a size for one of the BMs....all i'm asking them to do is get sized on their own...was that so hard? i should have just made them pay more $$ so i wouldnt have to deal with this headache!

this seems to be lesson #1 for you. it took me a while to learn it.

DON'T BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO SAVE ANYONE MONEY. they will make it your job to mother them and they WON'T appreciate it.

i would say, email or call the last bm and give her an ultimatum. if she still doesn't give you a size, either order it for her and let her deal with the consequences or don't order it and have her deal with those consequences.

it's harsh, but you're planning a wedding, not becoming her keeper.

you girls totally know where i'm coming from! i dont mean to be a bridezilla.....i was just trying to save the girls $$ b/c i know what it means to SPEND $$$$$$
and know i feel that they don't agree with the sizing....thinking its too big for them...but they need to keep in mind that the sizes are NOT street sizes....i'd rahter it be big on them and they take it in...as opposed to it being tight on them and no room to alter.......

I'm in the same situation! My only BM lives outside of the US, so I told her to get her measurements taken, give me an estimation on how much she'd be willing to spend, and dresses that she likes and hates... that was over a month ago and I still haven't gotten anything! I've told her on the phone, in person, and in several emails, but she keeps putting it off and giving me lame excuses.

So don't worry, you are definately not alone!

yes total sense! I also asked my girls to have their measurements done by thanksgiving and three of them still didnt give them to me yet! I am also going your route asking for measurements and putting in the orders myself except im ordering from netbride.com I wish they could be more responsible!!
