BM problem

BM problem

I have a BM that is well to put it nicely above average in size. I love her dearly and want her to be part of my day but I cannot find a single BM dress designer that makes anything in her size. The all of them (brial salons) tell me to have her get her dress custom made. The price for that on average is $500. I can't ask her to do that...HELP!!!

I have a BM who we had this problem with as well. We ordered the gown in an 18 and had to pay significantly more for it. I payed for the extra myself. I didn't have the heart to tell her that her gown cost more because of her size

Some gowns will go up to a size 24, and true you have to pay extra for it...but I did the same, I paid the extra $$$ (it was only $80).

What designers are you looking at?

What size is she?

If you could bear the thought of it Davids Bridal Does have a big selection of plus size dresses.

When my BF got married, she had a larger size woman in her bridal party. Her dress was a size 22 so you should be able to find a designer that makes a larger size. Our dresses were by Watters & Watters.

I have one Bm that needed to order a size 22. I think my dresses went up to a size 24 or 28, they are made by Venus. I would definetly keep looking for dresses before you have one made for her.

I like the idea of picking-up the extra $$$ but it may be signifacant she has been measured to be a size 26/28 in Jim Helm (which non of his dresses come). I know for her sisters wedding she had her dress custome made (all the girls did). I was hoping to keep the under $225.

Bari Jay makes up to size 42 - - however, check the measures chart just to make sure. I think it sounds bigger than what it actually is.

YOu might want to find a designer like Bari Jay who makes the dresses in larger sizes...

I ot a dress custonmed made to be in a weeding while it was pretty mine did not look like the other girls( we all go them made) they all had a drop waist and mine made my boobs look like two melons in the dress....

Yesterday, I was looking at BM dresses with one of my BM who is a size 12. We were at Here Comes the BM in Great Neck. The ***** who worked there actually had the nerve to hold up a dress and say, 'This is comfortable in all sizes.' I could have taken her down right there (and I am not a violent person).
