BM question for you...

BM question for you...

so i was talking w/ a friend and she told me this story and i wanted to see other girls opinions on this ...

..a friend of mine is getting married next year and asked all her BM's last year to be apart of the wedding...they all said yes.
just the other day one of her BM called her and told her she didn't want to be apart anymore...she feels like they aren't so close..blah blah blah

so the quetion is would you we hurt or offeneded if one of your BM's called you and told you a year away they didn't want to be apart of your wedding day?

id rather have them tell me than be fake on my wedding day - i would probably be relieved (although upset in the beginning - only if we were close) - it would just get rid of unwanted/unneeded drama

Not really people change. It a less of headache for me to deal with someone who does want to be part of day or my planning. I do want to have someone standing at my side just because they could find away to tell me no.

id be upset, but looking at the big picture i'd be glad. you dont want someone in your BP and your pictures who you wont keep in touch with or be close with and who wont be able to be there for you. if they know theyd be flaking out bc they just arent interested, it's brave and pretty great for the BM to tell the bride ASAP.

I'd be hurt, but I think it's understandable and I'd rather they be honest instead of fill a post that they don't feel comfortable with.

Not at all. I think being a BM is a huge commitment and costly. So many things can change over a year - if any of my girls backed out I wouldn't be upset in the least
