BM regret

BM regret

soo lately I am really regretting one of my choices for a bridesmaid. I guess when I asked her it was kind of like wishful thinking, i just assumed putting her in the bridal party would make all the things that annoy me about her go away.

Like she is the biggest buzz kill, anytime we go out she is the girl who's in the b i t c h y mood and ruins it for everyone. Or the one who says something and your just like im embarrassed to admit thats my friend. Ontop of that she is very jealous, so shes either being rude, complaining or in a bad mood.

Anyone else having bridesmaid regret? Are you gonna remove them from your party or just hope things get better?

Re: BM regret

One of my BMs is pissing me off she called me a zilla a few months ago cause I started crying that she changed plans to come see my dress, because she had to thread her eyebrows. I don't know if it's just me, but if she were getting married I would have wanted to see her dress and see her happy, sometimes the wedding stuff isn't all that it is cracked up to be. I don't think it makes me a 'zilla' that I was upset and wanted to share that moment with her, does it?

I threw one of my bridesmaids out.. along with her groomsman husband.

No we are not friends anymore.

I had to make a choice - suffer through it. Or put a stop to the drama but lose the friendship at the same time.

I decided to end the friendship..

and I couldn't be happier.

kinda! I choose friend because we got along great, known each other for a while etc, etc. So get this, when she found out that she may have to be involved in things such as a shower and whatever else she dropped out. Just like that, but at least she did it early on.

I threw one of my BM's out also. She was really annoying me, never returning any of my phone calls and messages.

Re: BM regret

I asked one of my sisters if she would meet up with me so I could ask her something important in person. She said she was too busy, she was also rude about it and said 'I don't know when you expect me to find the time'. She said I should come to her house if I want to talk to her about something.
So I said I guess we're both busy and let's talk on the phone. She said no, if this is important enough to you, you'll come to me.
I asked her anyway in an email since she wouldn't call me back if she'd like to be my MOH and that I love her. She never responded to that question, she was just bitchy again in response. My sister really has problems. She's been through a bitter divorce and she's angry at everyone.
I feel bad for her, but I actually lucked out by her not responding. I can only imagine how she would have acted in the events to come for wedding planning.

I have one that I regret, but on the other hand I dont regret because we've been friends forever and she knew she would be in my bridal party years before I was even thinking of getting married. I dont know what I want to do with her as yet still trying to figure it out.. or maybe i just dont have th balls to kick her out. She will always be my friend but she has a serious problem right now that needs to be dealt with . She ruined her best friends wedding because of this and I do not want her to do the same at my wedding so now im concerned but i really dont want to get rid of her IDK what to do

Wow is right! But like you said, it better off that she didn't respond because you would have had many headaches along the way. I'm sorry that your sister responded to you like that.

Re: BM regret

two of my bms are friends from college, one is a sister of the bm. They all live together in DC and even though they are out of state, I see them more then some of my friends here. They also are sooo sweet to FH and I love them for that.

That being said, they are NOT planners and not super girly in that showers and talk of favors would excite them.

Still, like melfrank said, I didn't care bout that. I just wanted them up there with me.

The only time i had a twinge of regret was a couple of weeks ago when they had drama in their apartment and i had nightmares that they would end up hatin eachother by my wedding day.

they made up and its all good now

Thanks Alicia, I appreciate that. At the time it was really upsetting. I knew before I asked her that she might be a problem, but I decided asking her was the right thing to do. I feel like I did my part, so I feel good about that. And I have another sister who's been there for me, and a best friend in my life, so I feel lucky.

Re: BM regret

im having some BM drama myself.....i asked 2 of my closest friends to be bm but the thing is they dont get along anymore. They used to be best friends as well till one of them who is getting married asked another friend of ours to be her maid of honor instead of this girl. Anyway, they're not friends anymore. But im still friends w/ both of them. one of them(the one not getting married) is being cool about the whole thing that she's gonna have to see her and prob talk to her since they're both in my bridal party. She said she'll deal w/ her for me b/c its my wedding and she wants to see me happy. It's the other one.....the one getting married thats being a brat and a little girl about the whole thing. She doesn't even want to see her. She told me not to seat them near each other at eparty. She needs to grow up! They had a falling and she needs to get over it!

What should I do? I dont want drama on my wedding day! or leading up to it!
