All of my BMs are close friends who have for the most part, been amazing so far.
I'm trying to decide on BM dresses and think that I finally picked one - but when I sent it to one BM, her reply was literally 'eh on the dresses'....
Now I guess thats not a big deal, but do I make her get it, even if she doesnt like it. I know I'm being stupid about this, it is MY wedding - but I just don't know how firm I need to be about it.
Keep in mind that it is a gorgeous dress, not too expensive AND its black - which is reusable and simple.

I'm quickly learning that you can't please everyone....if all the others like it, then go for it. If there are several that don't like it keep looking. JMO

I agree. You will drive yourself crazy trying to please everyone with everything... after awhile it needs to be just about you

i was affriad of this situation because all my bm are different sizes and i wanted to try to help them out, so i picked all very similar style dresses all the same color and let each one pick from them. and i have to say it worked out great everyone was very happy. So i had to give in to the exact matchy thing, at least there happy

i think she will buy it, but she just wanted to let u know it wasn't HER favorite. i wouldn't worry bout it.

exactly... everyone's body is different too and it just wont look perfect on EVERYONE... so u really gotta just step aside and say ya know what, majority rules!

You have to remember this is your day not your bm's. If that is the dress you want them to wear, tell them that. If they don't like it they can either deal or they can back out. If they back out over the fact they don't like the dress, that's just rediculous. I had the same problem. My sisters are my bm's. I told them to get over it !!!!!!! I hope it all works out for you !!!!!!!!!!

Say it with me 'YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE' The same thing happended to me. and I chose simple black dresses and not everyone liked it, including my mother and my sister (MOH) at first I was upset and then I decided its MY wedding, and I'll do what I like. They can choose something different for theirs!!! It will get easier making decisions that not everyone agrees upon.

I'm in total agreement! I have 8 girls and 2 were on the fence about liking it. But especially since yours are black they def. could wear it again!

Do YOU love it? Like really love it and have to have it, then F*$& her. It's your choice. Almost every girl here will tell you when you give them a decision to make, they can't agree or can't decide. Get the dres, she will be fine and if she doesn't wear it again, then so be it. Thousands of women have spent more, I'm sure, on BM dresses that they will never wear again. Get it, that is MHO

Honestly, it's not up to her. If you like the dress...then get it. It's hard to get 4 girls to agree on dinner, let alone on a dress!!

With less then 2 months to go I have learned the most important lesson of wedding planning...
DO NOT CARE WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS!!! In the end you will change what you want and wonder if you made the right decision...and no one will change what they want for you!!
Do what you want and thats that! I have changed my m ind on so many things to make others happy that truthfully some things I wish I hadnt but I cant change it now.
