I think it would be fine to let them wear it up or down.. you could still find a way to include the hair combs either way.

Let then do what they want. They know what kind of hair they have and need to feel comfortable.

I am uncomfortable wearing my hair certain ways so I would NEVER tell someone they had to wear it a certain way. JMO.

I'm letting them choose. They are all getting their hair done by a hairdresser but they can pick whatever style they want.
