BMs not getting their hair done...

Did anyone have a case where their BMs didn't get their hair done??

The photographer is getting to my house at 9 am so we'd all have to be ready then (most salons wouldn't be open and done by thenm, so it'd have to get done at my house). All my BMs are like me, struggling to pay their way through graduate school, and I know they don't have an 'extra' $100 or $125 to spend on hair, let alone makeup.... We are paying for the wedding entirely on our own, I know you girls will say for me to pay for them all if I want it done, but I really can't afford to do that at all, though I wish I could. For those girls who had BMs who opted out of hair and makeup, did it still look okay in the pictures? I don't care if they all have it up/down, etc.. but I just want to make sure they all look beautiful for themselves :)

Honestly, I'm not pushing any of my girls to get hair or make-up done. We all know how to look nice - they know how to do their hair and make-up -- it will be fine. Don't worry.
At my friend's wedding some girls didn't get anything done and they looked just as good as the girls who did!
I wouldn't push the subject unless you are ready to pay for them to get it done.

My BM and MOH did their own hair and makeup and it looked great. They just blew it out nice and straight.

I am not pushing for any of the BM's to get hair and make up done. If they do, thats great but if they don't it's fine too! I cannot pay for them to get it done so I am not asking them to cough up the money either. My MOH is though and it is by choice, I did not ask her to.

I am not pushing them, but for my BM with long hair, I let them know that I would like them too. I understand everyone's money situation is different so I might help them pay for a portion of it if I can.

I was a BM in a few weddings the past 2 years & the first time I had it done by a family friend that does hair & it looked okay... the next 3 I was in I ended putting it half up myself & having my sister curl it with the curling iron. It came out great everytime.....I think better than the girls who had it doneata salon & everybody complimented it..
You can have some of the girls get together at someones house & do the same thing...
After I was done curling it I put a few bobby pins w/some hair around the top to cover the hair tye & to give a nice finish...Also, its a way to save money...

I have 6 bridesmaids and I'm leaving it up to them to decide if they want to get their hair/make-up done or not. They're grown women and I trust they will look fabulous no matter what. However, if I had the money, I would just pay for it myself but since I can't, I'm certainly not going to force it on them.

I know it seems like the price of getting hair done is way too expensive, but check out your local hair salon. There are places out there that won't take advantage of the fact that it's a wedding and therefore jack up the price. Call around and find out how much up-dos are or just to blow out. I've gotten up-dos for like $35. Find out the pricing before you tell them it's for a wedding.

If you really want them to have it done but they can't pay- see if you can get a group discount and then make it their bridesmaid gift.

I had one bm that didn't get hair or makeup done....her roommate did her hair and she did her own makeup. I had another bm that got her hair professionally done but not makeup ( she hardly ever wears makeup) .....both of them looked great! I am certain that your bridesmaids know they have to look nice but you are the only one that has to look your best!!

I told them that I would really like it if they all got their hair and makeup done, partially because a portion of their gifts is related to both. I apologized to them though that the wedding ceremony is so early in the morning (11am) and they don't have the opportunity to go get these services done elsewhere. Right now I don't have any plans to pay for the hair or makeup but I am really going to try and pay for part of the hair at least (it's more expensive) because I feel bad.

Honestly, your wedding day is much more impotant than worrying about how your bridesmaids hair will look in the wedding pictues. You picked them to stand by your side on your special day, does it really matter if there hair is up or down? I think it will be fine. At my brothers wedding, only the bride had her hair done, and everyone looked fine. Please don't worry about this.

My MOH & BM did not get their hair or make-up professionally done. They looked great.

None of my BMs had make up done; one opted not to do hair. I think that they all looked beautiful!

One of mine didnt, I wish that she did when I look back at pics but her hair is very pretty anyway so it wasnt a big deal. The thing is, I wasnt paying for it so I couldnt force her to.

the girl who did my makeup and hair charges 80 for hair and make up (BMs). or 40 for either service. FM me.

i am letting each girl decide what they want to do after all they are paying quite a bit to be in the wedding as well but 2 friend of mine just graduated from beauty college and they are going to do everyone's hair at the hotel and only charging 25 per person or i am letting htem go somewhere else and make their own appt. what ever they decide

All my girls (except one who wanted some curls for her super straight hair) did their own hair. Some wore it up; some down: they looked beautiful
