The spiderweb sounds kinda cool. My mom has a cat with its tail going up the lobe....but again it looks like a funky birthmark now. lolShe regrets having gotten it done.

I see where you are coming from but I honestly would not ask a BM to cover her tattoos either. While I get what you are saying about your sister just waiting til the wedding is over, I also see the other side of the argument. My stepfather passed away a little over a week ago and once I can decide what to get, I am getting a tattoo on my back in his honor. My best friend is getting married in July of 2010 and I am definitely not waiting over a year to get the tattoo, especially since it means so much to me. If she really insists upon it, I would cover it to make her happy but I would probably be pretty offended and upset by it. That's just my honest opinion though. As I said before I understand your side as well!

I have a few myself but my dress will cover them. One of my bm's has this huge *ss ugly tribal dolphin thing around her entire ankle its like 3 inches wide. I purposely got floor length dresses to cover it up. My sister in law has one between her shoulder blades but you'll only see it if her back is to you. Plus is nice so I'm not so bothered by it. I totally see your point about being bothered by it -- at least she's willing to have it covered up the day of the wedding.

I personally think it's pretty b.allsy to ask someone to cover a tattoo or take out a piercing to be in your wedding party. OP, I can understand being pissy about it though, especially since a lot of people get really ugly tattoos...and yes that would piss me off. But I think you need to keep it to yourself, and just accept that there's nothing you can do about it. I do though, think it's pretty close to INSANE to suggest someone have a makeup artist airbrush an ENTIRE SLEEVE OFF!!! It would look pretty awful too, because all that Dermablend (the makeup thick enough to cover a tattoo) would end up coming off all over the dress in like 3 minutes. One of my best friend's sisters made her do this for her wedding, and it was covered for the pics, but was ALL OVER the grey satin gowns in minutes.Take your bridal party aka FRIENDS for who they are.
