Bo-K Prices

Bo-K Prices

How much did you pay for your BMaids Bo-k's and what did you have?

Be honest, is there anyway to get a lower bo-k quote than 45 bucks?

I'd realllly like to spend about 30. Any flowers you can think of? I seriously got quoted 45 for tulips...I can't think of anything else that may be cheaper.

My bms are having all roses, and I am paying 75 for them. I am having all stefanotis and paying 200 for mine.

ETA: to be honest, I think a 30 dollar bo-k will look like a 30 dollar bo-k. Why don't you look into making them yourself if you want to keep costs down?

I'm pretty sure that might be the best price... I think my FG is that much! lol...
Flowers!!! SOOOOO frustrating!

I would do that since I wish I was a florist...but I am too much of a stress ball to do that myself.

How did everything go yesterday??

Yeah, I agree. I'm in the wrong business. I need to be a florist. The mark-up kills me! The 8 BM's kill me!

I mean, you could do a few stems of callas....that would be gorgeous and cost-effective.

I think it all depends on the size of the bouquet

I kind of figured, but I thought I would suggest it. Do you have any friends that you would entrust something like that to? What about doing a bo-k of mostly filler-type flowers? Apparently that's very popular right now. I will keep trying to think of stuff.

i have heard of using silk flowers, but i haven't seen it in person so i don't know how it looks, but supposedly it's cheaper, and then your 'bo-k'is preserved, since they aren't real flowers

I am thinking of making mine with silk calla lilies...... My aunt is great at making arrangements.... so i feel confident they will look greatttt!

what about gerber daisies? I'm not sure of the price.

Actually a mix of things might be less expensive? Not sure.
Mine were roses, ivy & hypericum berries & were about $75 I think.

What about a very tight, small arrangement of carnations? May sound cheesy, but if they're put together correctly and wrapped nicely, they could look really pretty. And, cost effective.....

I was also going to suggest silk. If not, try going to National Wholesale in Bellmore. See what they can do. Or (don't laugh) you can try a large supermarket florist ( I read about this in an online email!). Sometimes the store has a good floral dept. and they can help you create something nice and inexpensive.

My MOH is getting three blue hydrangea in her bo-kay (average size) and it's costing me $18 or $22. can't remember. My bo-kay is blue hydrangea and white roses, the diameter of a large dinner plate and I think it's $44. Hydrangea tend to be an expensive flower.

Yes, your price can be done if you are flexible with flowers.

FM me if you want my old quotes from florists. My flowers for my entire wedding (centerpieces and one MOH) are less than $900 but have a very expensive flower.

Woah, $45? I should have shopped around for my florist

My bouquet is $125 (vendella roses and pale green hydrangea) and the BM bouquets are $95 each (one - vendella and candy bianca roses and 7 all candy bianca roses).

it depends on the flowers or the florist. i bet you could do a bouquet of daisies for that price.

ooh! I had a thought! I have seen BMs each carry one long stemmed flower & that looks really pretty.
Maybe you could do that?

What kind of flower did you use? Do you have pics? I am looking for a pic,to show leese, but I can't find any so far.

I'm having roses. I think it's $65 for the BMs for around 2 dozen roses and $75 for the MOH who has a few more.

Don't laugh at the supermarket...my mother is making me go to one upstate and their prices were not too far off from Pedestals!

Using less flowers, more filler, and less expensive flowers will get your price down, however I'm not sure by how much.
