What are your thoughts? I am opt-ing not to do this and people are surprised. I simply don't have many 'single' friends or family and feel that this will be an weird moment.
I did, I had a bunch of single people. I like the traditional embarassing stuff..makes for great video footage....

Re: bo-k toss
I'm not 100% sure - but I may do the anniversary dance and give my bo-k to the winning couple.

I was not going to do this, but my family insisted. They seem to feel that people look forward to this. So, its in.

Re: bo-k toss
There's no hard and fast rule that you have to toss it to just the single women.
Depending on how many single guests we're having, we're doing the bo-k and garter toss. If we don't have enough, we're just considering it a toss for good luck, this way anyone can come up and do the catching.

Re: bo-k toss
I didn't and my single friends were disappointed..... We did an anniversary dance and gave the bo-k to the couple married the longest instead.

I'm not. I always ran in the bathroom when the bo-k toss was going on. I'm giving my bo-k to my mother instead.

Re: bo-k toss
We did the anniversary dance and gave the winning couple a real bouquet of white roses- the memory will forever hold in our hearts-
my wedding was in April and the winning couple my stepgrandparents married 61 yrs-won and my poppop passed away 3 weeks ago.
I am sooo happy I did that dance instead!!!!

I am not doing the toss. I am going to give the bouquet to my FH's grandma in honor of their marriage (grandparents).

Re: bo-k toss
I will not be doing a BoK toss. My mom is upset about it but OH WELL. I will, instead, be having all married couples dance and having the longest married couple get the BoK
The MC asks them to leave the dance floor by year (all people married 5 years of less leave the dance floor....10 years of less....15 years of less....20....etc...)

I was going to do the bo-k toss, but I decided to give it to the couple who has been married the longest.

Re: bo-k toss
I think my single friends would not get up for the toss and my 12 year old niece would end up catching it.
Hmmm. I caught the bouquet at BOTH of my brother's weddings

Re: bo-k toss
i am not doing one. i agree i do not have enough single gals to to it. i have seen people ask all married couple on the dance floor to dance and the dj asks the couple who have been married 1 year to step off, then 5 years, then 10 and so on till the couple who has been married the longests is standing and they get the bo-k
