I can't decide if the stems on my bouquet and my BMs should be exposed or wrapped...any suggestions?

I'm having mine wrapped in satin ribbon.

It's really a preference. Many florists discourage exposed stems bc they could still have moisture in them and thus stain your dress if you're not careful. I personally favored them anyway and didn't get any flower stains on me.

Re: Bo-K's: Stems exposed or not exposed?
I originally wanted stems wrapped but when i went for my final meeting with my florist, I changed my mind to stems NOT exposed and I had no problem whatsoever with bleeding or staining my dress or the bridesmaids- I loved them - we had a satin wrap to match my BM dresses with 3 pearl pins on them - so nice!

BY exposed, do you mean wrapped down to almost the end, but about a 1/2 inch of stem peeking out? Or do you mean wrapped stems or not wrapped stems?

Wrapped with about with 1 inch or so of stem peeking out - if your florist is good, the stems won't bleed at all.

I meant wrapped with silk, but with 1/2' or so of the stems at the bottom exposed...

I originally told my florist to wrap the stems completely, but last week changed my mind and asked for them to wrap them and leave a little on the bottom exposed.

That's what I'm doing.

Im NOT a big fan of them esposed. I think it looks more elegant covered, plus you dont have to worry about a mess

Re: Bo-K's: Stems exposed or not exposed?
My florist wrapped mine with pretty white ribbon and pinned it together. The pins looked like pearls. Very pretty.

Re: Bo-K's: Stems exposed or not exposed?
if you want the stems exposed but are worried about staining have your florist wrap the ends of the stems with floral tape - its green to match the stems, you can't tell its there and it will protect from staining
