I just looked at Body Rock Entertainment in Carle Place. They seemed a little pricey, but I have heard good things about them.
Has anyone used them? If so, were they willing to drop the cost a little bit? Were they worth the money?
We will spend the money for them if they are. The DJ is very important to us.
Thanks for your help!! Erin

Re: Body Rock
I went to see Body Rock as well. I spoke with Joann, who was really nice, but the kind of package we wanted it was WAY to pricey and we didn't hear of anyone else using them so we decided to go with FM Entertainment and we got the package we wanted but paid $1,000 less for it.

Re: Body Rock
I booked Body Rock because I have been to a couple of weddings where they were the DJ. They had the dance floor packed all night and they played great music. I think, like anything else, you can negotiate extras or a price decrease. Good luck and fm me if you want any further info.

Re: Body Rock
same story as the other girls - we went to look at them - we were actually okay with the price of the DJ/MC itself but we wanted to add on uplights through their company and they refused to negotiate the prices at all so we didn't book with them.
We ended up booking Classie Sounds Entertainment - EXCELLENT DJ - they have been the DJ for the past TWO weddings I've been to, (one in october and one just 3 weeks ago) FABULOUS - floor was packed alllll night - reasonable pricing too!

Re: Body Rock
I've been to a couple weddings with Body Rock (including my sister's wedding) so when I got engaged I told DH there was no question, we were booking them. We gave them a deposit but then we found High Energy Entertainment (a LIW vendor) whos price (for DJ/MC, lights, plasma tv) was less expensive then only a DJ and MC for body rock. We were soooo happy with our decision because High Energy was great. The moral of the story: keep your options open and check out Ralph from High Energy

Thanks to all! I thought they were pricey too! The only other DJ we went to see was also fairly pricey. I will definitely look into FM and Classie.
Thanks Ladies and good luck with the planning!

Re: Body Rock
We met with Body Rock as well. They were recommended to us by a friend. I was really impressed with their work and presentation and Joann was really great. We did want some add ons so it came out to be more than we wanted to spend. At first, I was willing to spend it because I thought they were really great. After thinking about it for a while, I realized that I was impressed by their fancy studio and how great Joann was. I wanted to go with a dj company where I could sit down with my MC and DJ and get to know them not the saleswoman. We looked at sooo many DJs! In the end, we went with LI Sound and our MC is Kevin. They were really cool and had all the features Body Rock had at a lower price. I feel really confident with our decision. Definitely shop around! GL

this was my issue too, I wanted to sit down with them, after hearing that many girls didnt get to meet their DJ/MC until after booking I didnt even go see them. I used High Voltage and was very happy with my choice

Re: Body Rock
Honestly, Body Rock is totally worth their price. You should be able to negotiate some what with them. My family has used them for several affairs. They keep the floor PACKED! From the moment the guests enter they are on the dance floor. Def won't be disappointed...but shop around if you must. I just like that Body Rock MC's dont sound like game show hosts on the mic..

They did my cousins wedding and were pretty good. I checked them out and thought they were too expensive.

My friend used Body Rock for her wedding a few years ago and I thought they were really good. We did not book them though.

Re: Body Rock
In my opinion they were definetly worth the price. Since we got married at our RH they also provided the ceremony music for us. They kept the dance floor packed and even had some people up dancing that usually don't dance.

Re: Body Rock
we priced around and everyone was giving us a similar price quote for dj/mc and since we saw them at my uncle's wedding and knew they were good we went with it. we wanted no extras. worth it so far. .we'll seee!
