Does anyone have pics of boks that aren't roses? I'm kinda interested in doing daisies but open to anything right now. Also do you find there are big differences in the price of different types of flowers-I don't have a big flower budget?
Just be careful some of the bokays above are a lot more expensive than roses. Roses are one of the cheapest and hardiest flowers. That's why they are used so much in bokays.
Ask your florist what flowers will give you the biggest bang for your buck and how many stems you will need.
For example, that steffantois bouquet is gorgeous but it takes HUNDREDS of stems and is very labor intensive so just note you will pay for that.
The hydrangea bo-kays can also vary widely. I had one florist tell me she pays $22 a stem for blue with green hydrangeas being the most expensive.
If you are on a tight budget best to tell a florist what you want to spend per centerpiece or bo-kay, give them what yiu don't want, tell them any specific colors and ask what they can do.
I was adamant on blue hydrangea and white roses and told each florist what I wanted to spend per centerpiece. I then asked them to e-mail me a picture of what they could do for a set price. That way you have a baseline for comparison.
Keep in mind the weight of your bo-kay and if you have a flower that is delicate you might need a hydration base.
Good luck. Can you tell I spent a lot of time researching flowers.
