hey there- i'm having a short sleeve bolero made for my dress (by Casablanca). i found out in my search that many designers will make it for you custom, so if you have your dress picked out, or if you're looking around ask the salesperson if the designer of the dress you like will make you a jacket. mine cost around $200. If they don't, request a few yards of the same lace/fabric as your dress and bring it to a good seamstress. I've heard that they'r relativley simple to make.

Re: Bolero jacket/Sleeves
I have a Jasmine dress, which has a bolero in the same material, so it will match. But I was also told that you can order extra fabric from the designer and have one made. The jacket cost about $200 and so does the material...so whicheven is easier for you. Just make sure you get it from the same designer.

I got mine done through the dress manufacturer but your bridal store should be able to buy fabric and make one for you.

I had mine custom made at the wedding salon I bought my dress. They ordered extra material from the designer. I took it off for the reception.

My gown comes with optional 3/4 sleeves- pics are in my album and by my next fitting I'll have pics with me in my actual gown!

Re: Bolero jacket/Sleeves
Thanks girls for the ideas. I called my designer and they said they just couldn't make me a bolero. I am thinking about go down the garment district and buying material and getting one sewn. It might not totally match the design which i am bummed about. But, If i find something similiar there won't be no one totally staring to see if it matched or not right?
