Bonaventure

I am a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding who bought our dresses and hers at Bonaventure. The times we were there to look and and order the dresses they were helpful. But since then it has been a nightmare for both us and her. They made two of us order extra length ($22) extra charge even though we didn't think that was necessary. When I got my dress I needed almost 6 inches taken off the bottom. Waste of money. When we complained they said they have been in the business for X amount of years and it was their expertise with that particular manufacturer to order the extra length. The particular dress the bride chose came with two skirts, a floor length and cocktail. Needless to say, the girls who had the dress shipped direct from the manufacturer had 2 skirts. The girls (including me) who picked them up at Bonaventure had one. They claimed that we were only suppossed to get one skirt, and that the manufacturer mistakenly shipped two skirts to the other girls. Then to top it all off, they expected the other girls to pay the additional money for the other skirt.

My advice if you go there, is to be very careful. Once they have your deposit, customer service is terrible. Just my experience.

First, 1-800-Flowers has just been an absolute disappointment nearly everytime we've ordered from them. The first time, the flowers were great, but the several times after that, the flowers have been awful. My fiance would send me roses for various reasons, birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Day, etc. and the roses never made it more than a few days. Of course, some would hold out longer than others. Once, I took them up on their satisfaction guarantee, which states something like '7 day freshness.' Well, at the end of the seven days, I called and told them the flowers didn't make it seven days, that some started dying the very next day. They told me I was supposed to call before the end of the seventh day!! We finally stopped ordering from them since they couldn't send roses that would carry out the week. I'm sorry, but spending $80 and not getting the week is a HUGE deal to me.

I highly recommend them. I got my dress and the bridesmaids dresses there and they have been so terrific. They are all so nice there and really helpful. If you get your bridesmaids dresses there, you will get 10% off on your dress. I only have 2 BM dresses and I still got the 10% off. Also, they really scored points with me last week when my FSIL took her daughter for a fitting and she saw a dress that might be good for my FMIL. She is not really capable of getting out and trying on dresses etc. - they let her take it home to try it on her which made it so much easier for us. They have been really accommodating with changes I've wanted to make too. I have found the prices to be really good, my BM's dresses were less than I saw elsewhere for the same dress.
