Since we had to move up the wedding so quick, my mom is not having a bridal shower for me, since she will be throwing me a baby shower instead.
I just added up everything on my registry and it's over $5,000 for everything!
FH & I are going to be moving out on our own after the wedding and really need everything we registered for!
Sorry for venting, i'm just really upset I won't be getting what we need and I'll have to spend money we don't really have to buy it all!

I wonder if people will shop off your registry instead of giving you cash for the wedding, knowing that you didn't have a shower. (Probably not what you're hoping for either!)

What about suggesting to her a bridal/baby shower combo? So you can still get some stuff off of your registry and then some for the new addition? Its worth a try?

My mom didn't want to do a joint shower because we really needed everything for the baby vs. for a place to live since I have some things like pots etc. Maybe I'll throw a house warming party whenever we find a place! and ill send the registry in with the invitations.

Awww! Do you have bridesmaids? Could they throw you a little shower? If not I think the housewarming party is a good idea. Either way congrats on the wedding and the baby!!!!

I have 3 girls in my wedding party.. 2 of them that live out of town so i'm sure that's not possible
