But I switched my bcp last month because my body had gotten I guess 'used' to the low level hormones and it wasn't regulating anything anymore. And now my first 'time of the month' on the new pill and I haven't had cramps like this in years!!!
Any suggestions???

Re: boo cramps!
I am no help! I actually got off on my BCP because I gained 10 pounds on it. This month was my first month off of it and I had crazy cramps!

It seems we're on the same 'schedule' lol....I'm not on BC, never have been, I'm a bit of a health nut like that, don't take anything...I do get bad cramps from time to time...acupuncture has helped me the most...as well as diet and those heating pads you stick on your tummy...feel better!

Re: boo cramps!
It sounds counter-intuitive, but exercise! A run or a bike-ride helps me feel better when I am all crampy.

Thanks for the tips! I haate taking medication also, but I have to be on bc until I want to try to get pregnant because it prevents cysts from forming on my ovaries. Before I got put on (at 14) I was in the hospital from having cysts burst-ouch!

Re: boo cramps!
Ughhh, that sounds terrible! BC can be terrible. I went off of it because I got really fat and I was an emotional wreck all of the time!
You can also take up to 600mg of Advil at once. My OB/GYN prescribed me 600mg Ibuprofin for cramps, since mine are really bad and that seems to do the trick.
And I know they say that alcohol is bad for cramps, but sometimes a glass of red wine really helps me feel better if I have crazy cramps. Lol, go figure!

I totally understand- I went off the pill and OMG. I totally forgot what the cramps can be like! I saw drink lots of water, take Midol and try a heating pad- it seems to take the edge off for me.

Re: boo cramps!
Two words: HOT BATH!
That always helps me, at least for the time I'm in there.
Oh and one other thing... chocolate <3
