Book Clubs

Book Clubs

Does anyone know of any book clubs that meet in the evenings, perhaps in the Wantagh/Bellmore/Seaford area, that isn't for old ladies? Or, anyone interested in starting one? I suggest meeting once a month, at a different restaurant each time -- somewhere exotic maybe, where wings-and-beer hubbies can never be convinced to go.
Suggestions? I have a friend in Boston who does this and they have such a great time -- and I need more contact with people, I am new to the area and my co-workers are no fun...
THanks.

Re: Book Clubs

I would definitely love to join a book club. I am in Plainview so it's not too far from Wantagh or Seaford. Once a month works for me because these days (with baby) it takes me about a month to get a book finished! Anyone else interested?

I am close to Plainview Library -- Have been wanting to read the Da Vinci code... how would that be for a first book? We can plan to meet at the library or in the area, some evening near the end of May? And we can publicize this some more, maybe get other peeps to join us.....
What do you think?

That would be great and I love the Plainview library! I will go out and get the book this weekend and let's meet at the end of May. I will mention it to some others to see if they want to join us.
