Our florist! We went with a family friend mama pop type shop in Hauppauge - Tropica. I had never met the florist before. She was great! Very understnding and I really felt like she understood the look I was going for. I can't wait to get a sample. The only thing is she said that she doesnt make up samples until about 3 months befre the wedding. Did anyone have this??

Ive heard that before. its because that way they have the flowers that are in season. (or somethign like that)

Our florist usually does samples around the same time. I think its more cost efficient because if you do it a year before you could keep changing your mind about colors and flowers...and then the florist would have to keeo making new samples. By 3 months before you usually have your color scheme set in stone.

Congrats! I have heard of that .. although we have not yet booked our florist. Actually that is the one vendor we have no ieda about. Have gotten a few suggestions from friends but want to stay on the cheap side with flowers so we have the money for other extras!
