Booked DJ (Finally)

Very excited! One more thing off the list. We booked Get In Tune Productions.

Glen was a lifesaver at my FBIL's wedding. Their photographer was supposed to have a photo montage that he was to display on the screen before their entrance, but the photographer never brought it with him. Glen put together a quick show with the pics they had on the table on the way into the cocktail hour and I belive didn't charge them for the use of the screen at the end.

He did a great job at their wedding and we had an even better feeling after meeting with him. Sent the contract today!

I still have to book my florist and limo company. We got a lot of the big stuff out of the way pretty quickly.

I still have all the small details of registering, invitations, favors, bp gifts, etc. to do, but it feels nice to be where I am in the grand scheme of things...we still have so much time left (getting married in Apr. 2003!)

Do you think it's too early to do limos and florists? Maybe I should take some time off...

its a great feeling to get things done off your list then in the end you are not so stressed with a ton of things to do. I still need my videographer, and cars. thats it for vendors!

You are definitely in a good position right now. But trust me, I've been engaged for 1 year and 3 months and the time flew by!!

As for florists, I booked in Feb. for my Dec. wedding, because I needed an inexpensive florist and I was afraid Burtons would be booked. I'm sure I could have waited a couple of months, but glad I didn't cause now I'm relieved.

As for limos, we just did ours 2 weeks ago...I don't think you need to do that yet, unless you just want to get it out of the way. I would think 4-6 months in advance is plenty of time.

Believe it or not, we just started registering last week!! We are finishing tomorrow actually. We are just about to go to final print of invites too. I'm no where close to being done with favors, bm gifts, and little things like that.

You do have plenty of time - and if you take care of things slowly or quickly, either way it will all fall into place. Just remember to have FUN doing it - my FH and I sometimes forget that, I hate to admit...

I'm getting married 4/26/03. For some reason, my profile won't switch from 2002 to 2003. The real funny thing is when we were talking to Glen, we started talking about this board, and he mentioned that you had booked with him as well!

My FH wants to book limos next, but I think we can take a break. I don't want to get EVERYTHING out of the way and have nothing to do but sit and wait.
