Booked RH after seeing only 4 places! please need some advice!

soo I booked my RH after only seeing 4 places and after only 8 days of being engaged! feels a little crazy but completely right for us!

I am having my reception at Floral terrace july 1, 2011 and the ceremony will be taking place there as well. I just wanted to know if any one had any info about Garden City Gazebo?? do you have to pay etc.?

I want to have the ability to at least take some pictures outside.. is it worth it to do the ceremony leave then come back? any opinions would help! thanks :)

I'm not sure but I see brides there all the time. Once I actually saw one taking pictures and another one waiting.

How far is the gazebo from your RH? I think it depends on how much time you have to take the pics as well as there may be other brides taking pics there as well so you have to factor that in.

It doesn't make sense to have the ceremony at the RH, leave and then come back for the party ... think about your guests!

DH and I got married at the RH and we just took our pictures beforehand! That is what I suggest! The GC Gazebo is close by but not close enough that you could do it during your cocktail hour.

I do not believe there is a fee.

it's great that you found your perfect RH after just 8 days of being engaged ... i was actually in a similar boat so i'm glad i'm not the only one lol

You may want to think about seeing your FH before going to Floral Terrace. You can go to the gazebo before you go to Floral Terrace & get the outside pictures you want.The Garden City Gazebo is a nice place to take pictures. There is no fee, it's a public park. You'll never have time to do it after the ceremony.

thanks so much everyone!! I almost think it isn't worth it to go and take pictures... unless i find a place outside to do my ceremony then take pictures. Idk yet though...

The garden city gazebo is only 10 minutes away from floral terrace so it really isn't too bad.

think about it though...when you get married at the rh everything is back to back..so for ex.

ceremony 1130-12
ch 12-1
reception 1-5

so by the time you get in the limos and everything, you might have 45 minutes--

and i work around that area-trust me..it can take much longer than 10 minutes to get to that park..its taken me 15-20 minutes to go that distance before..even if it takes 15 minutes each way, that would only leave 15 minutes for pictures..
