Booked RH within 6 - 9 months?

Has anyone booked their hall within 6 - 9 months? And if so, did you get a really good deal?
I suppose this should only be done if you are completely flexible with your dates and don't have your heart set on 1 RH.
Thoughts????

My FMIL suggested we do this, however, we were set on the time of year and didn't want to limit our options. Hoever, If you are totally flexible, I say go for it!

I had no problem booking the hall I wanted and I just did that (only 6 months left), if they have the date available they are usually willing to bring the price down a little considering the short notice.

I booked mine 9 months before, and, we got a discount because of the time of year...... but not for having booked it when we did.

We booked our RH a little over 9 months in advance. I think we paid $6 less pp than we would have if we booked a later date. I think you have some bargaining power but you won't get a huge discount.

I know someone who booked it about 2-3 months before the wedding and they got a SIIIICK deal, they had it at a venue in manhattan that is gorgeous and paid ALOOOOOT less
