I'm really excited to finally be booking. I'm just happy they are holding my date for me up to tomorrow.
Maybe I'm just nervous cause it's a lot of money I'm comitting to giving them in the next few months and I fear I'm alone on the payment plan here.
FH doesn't have the money to help with the deposits right now. He's trying to save for a car. He's offered to help but any help he gives me prolongs him getting a car. And he needs one cause I'm tied of being the only one with the car and getting to see eachother completely relies on me unless he takes public transportation (which I feel I can't allow).
I haven't even told my mom I'm the one putting the money down. I'm afraid of her reaction. She thinks we're doing this 50/50. FH told me he will put in the same amount I dish out for the both of us. But I'm paying for all these deposits by check from MY checking account, just so it is documented what I've paid for (in the event anything should happen).
I just can't afford to lose my date. And I know for a fact someone else is interested in my date at my hall. So I need to book now.
I just hope I'm not geting in over my head on this.

for some reason i felt the same way... but Fh does have money.. its just i feel like i work 2 jobs killing myself anf he works one and all my $ goes to the wedding and his... i dunno where lol.... i mean its in the bank but not in our wedding account.... n our 1st payment is december 1...

Omg i just read your post and it totally mirrors what my fiance and i are going thru. He wants to get a car for us so he is not able to save for the RH. So i am basically going to be saving most of the wedding money and he will be doing the car payments. I am urging him to book but he wants to wait till December.We want to book a March 2010 date so i am scared the Saturdays in March will get snatched up. My mom would also kill me if she found out i was putting in more money....lol....Good luck to you in getting your date.

My mom is funny about me paying for things too. I save alot more for our house then FH does right now. I make more then FH because I work alot. We put $500 a week away in our house/ wedding fund. Sometimes I put $400 and he can only give $100. In the end I know he needs his money to pay off debt because his debt is mine once we tie the knot!
My mom thinks we split things 50/50. I know that in time his salary will surpass mine and his student loans won't be around forever. This is just a rough patch.
