Booking Question

How far before your date did you book your hall. I thought when we told people we were planning for 2007 they would laugh, but then I met someone planning for 2009. AM I LATE?

We started booking September of 2004 for October of 2006 - and I'm completely aware of my obsessive-compulsive-over-planning tendencies Most importantly we're still having fun with it (remind me 10 months from now I wrote that!)

No I'm getting married in 2007 when we were looking and I met a couple that said either 2008 or 2009, My heart sank, I was like what I felt like I was late because we barely started for 2007

We booked ours early (2 years, 2 months early) b/c my sister was like 'you need to book ASAP!' We ended up having our choice of day for the entire month b/c no one else had booked yet. You're doing just fine.

We booked in July for April 06.
I know people who have planned weddings in 4 months!

We booked August '05 for October '06. Someone I know officially got engaged yesterday and she is shooting for June '06. I think you're fine for '07.

we booked on 7 months notice & its all good. Don't sweat it.

I booked in January 2004 for July 2005 and, by that time, there were only 2 Saturday nights open between June and July! I think planning now is fine

we booked 2 yrs in advance, because it's a holiday weekend and I was very particular about the date I wanted.

we booked in aug of 2004 for aug 2006. we booked early so we could have time to save the $$. i think you are fine, i can't see booking 4 years in advance

We booked 11 months in advance, but if you're looking for a specific date at a specific place, you may need to allot more time.

booked Sept. 05 for June 06, so 9 months in advance, but some places were already booked by then.

We booked in November '04 for May '06 but I have a friend who booked and planned her Oct '05 wedding in 5 months. I think as long as you have a year you are fine.
