Booking Vendors

Booking Vendors

So, FH and I have decided on both our photographer and our florist.

How do I handle this? Do I have to go there in person (out to LI, which will be impossible until JUNE!! with all this stuff we have going on) or can I do it over the phone?

And what do I say...'Congrats,,,you've been chosen...you should feel honored to be working MY wedding!'

we have a similar situation- getting married upstate and live out here- with some we are going to have them send us a signed contract, then we will sign, copy, and return with a check. saves alot of time and gas$$!

I think you can handle the contracts through the mail. I booked my florist through the mail. I just emailed her and said I would like to book. I guess you could say the same thing on the phone

I don't know if you could actually book over the phone. I'd get in contact with them so they can reserve your date and then you could send them a deposit in the mail. When you're on LI in June go down and sign the contract. Congrats on deciding on 2 things!!

You should see if they'll come to you!

if they want your business and they know you're serious, I'm sure they would do it.

I called the vendors I wanted to book and they either faxed me the contract or sent it to me in the mail.

I like to do the contracts in person, they way you can make sure whatever you discuss is written in the contract.
