Bora Bora/Moorea Honeymoon

We just started researching our honeymoon. Has anybody booked theres that has any insight? Hotel recs? Cost? Advice? etc, etc, etc

A very good friend of mine is getting married on 8/7 and they really wanted to go to Bora Bora but when they went to the travel agent, the best price they got was over 11,000 and it was for a 3 star hotel not even on the water.....i hope you find something better!

We going to Moorea (Sofitel-6 nights lagoon bungalow), Bora Bora (Hilton-4 nights OTW bungalow) and 1 night in Tahiti. Plus breakfast, and air transfers, we are paying $5,650. This does not include airfare from NY to Tahiti (we used miles).
Let m eknow if you want more info. We're going in November

when i priced it out, it came to about $8k for the flights and hotel (nothing overly fancy) ... that was too much for us since we'd also need to add food & alcohol & excursions to that.

I read that quote and was like holy shhhh! Then I saw it didn't include airfare. We are looking to fly into Papeete, stay one night there (basically crash) then 5 nights at the Hilton Moorea Garden Bungalow with Private Pool, then 6 nights at the St. Regis Bora Bora OTW Bungalow....I'm soo excited! I did tripology, thanks to this chat group, and got very similiar quotes.

Thanks! too bad it's not for over 8 months! So where did you guys decide to honeymoon? PS - I grew up in Woodbury :)

This is what FH and I are planning for our honeymoon! I'm just starting my search and filled out the form on tripology about an hour or so ago. Funny I just saw this post!

i'm going! we have a great TA so FM if you need her info.

we're doing 4 nights at the sofitel in moorea (lagoon bungalow) and 5 nights at the four seasons (overwater bungalow) in bora bora. we're paying < $11,000 which includes flight from NY to LA and LA to tahiti and all transfers. it also includes breakfast and some other meals.

We're staying 5 nights Moorea Pearl in a garden room with private plunge pool and 4 nights Bora Bora Hilton in an OWB, can't wait! Quotes similair to what was posted. We also used tripology!
