before you met your FH / DH, did you ever think 'oh, i hope i never ever meet a guy with the last name ___ because then my full name / initials would be _____'...?

share the names you were avoiding

i was always afraid of marrying someone with a last name that was also a word ... for example 'Barnes' (which is actually my ex's last name) would have made me Mor Barnes and i'd kill myself with that name

never really thought this. but a restaurant that we used to go to a lot (now closed, boo) had a wine called McManis. It was actually good, so we always ordered it and joked around that if that was DH's last name id be janis mcmanis

idk. it stuck. cuz that's one of DH's nicknames for me. no one else understands, but sometimes he will call me from across the room 'mcmanisssss'

OMG...long story short my name is Candice but my family and all of my friends from before college still call me Candi!! So I would have avoided anything that sounded like a stripper!! Such as:

Candy Cane
Candy Lane
Candy Starr

You get the point!

anything with a Z in it. I didn't want to be over - Z'd. They're so annoying to write!

Last name starting with an 'S' because that would make my initials '***' they won't let me even type it in here lol....synonym for 'butt'

I grew up with the last name Horn (can't you just smell the jokes?), so anything would've been a welcome change
