boring topic but thought i'd ask

fh is a computer guy but not a formatting guy so does anyone know why my font changes every time i hit return when i'm typing..any way to stop this?? it's very annoying..TIA

You should have a default font. Or you can highlight the entire page and select your font. It should stick.

i changed the default font and when i highlight it does change but the next time i open up something it does the same thing..anything else i should try??

It might be the Styles...

1. Click Format, then Styles and Formatting.

2. On the right, the Task Pane should open up to Styles and Formatting.

3. If you are using the 'Normal' Style, click on Normal, and then click the arrow on the right to see the drop-down box. (If you are not using Normal, just click on the style you are using. You can tell that by looking at the Formatting toolbar all the way on the left.)

4. On the drop down box, click 'Modify'. The Modify Style box will appear.

5. The 4th box should say, Style for following paragraph' If you were using Normal, this should say Normal. The font and everything is on the bottom of the box under the text sample.

6. If you want to modify Normal, click Format and then Font, and change it to whatever you want.
