Born-again virginity before the wedding?

A question for everyone to wake up to ona Saturday Morning.

Did anyone decide to not sleep with FH/FW for a period of time before the wedding? For those of you who've done it, how long? did you make it through? was it worth it?

ETA: I wanted to share: a friend of mine and her FH (now DH) had this issue, the FH was a christian and at one point he decided he wanted to wait until marriage until they slept together again...you would not believe how fast that wedding was MOVED UP!

Hmm.... DH and I tried to do the whole 'let's not sleep together for a month (

) before our wedding' thing.... That lasted about two weeks, then I raped him...

PS... the stress form the wedding deterred us for almost a week before our wedding... So we kinda did again!!!

We made it a week! Things were so crazy the week before the wedding, we were either too exhasted or too busy to even think about it. Skipping it for that one week just made it more special!!

i have bought the idea up to my fh, but he thinks it the stupiest idea he has ever heard and doesn't think that i will last. so, we will not be abstaning before our wedding.

First we said 'we are stopping 6 mos before'

When that didn't work, then we said 'Okay we are stopping 3 mos before'

Then it was 'Okay, okay... we can definitely hold out for ONE month before'

We ended up holding out for only 3 weeks before and even that was partially due to stress and other factors, not will power. But it was DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!

I would highly recommend waiting as long as you can to any engaged couple.... I think 2 or 3 mos would probably be good.

I think we waited like 6 weeks to make it special for the wedding night. The funny thing is on the wedding night I was so exhausted I told him to stop midway through...so much for that idea!

honestly, it never came to mind. We knew pretty early on that we were going to be married, so why not? It's not that we tried and it didn't work...we just never thought of doing that. How about you? FESS UP!

we intended to do that...but it didn't last....we said a month, which turned into 2 weeks which turned into 1 week......I think it left off at around a week or several days.,...

ve been thinking about it. At first I said maybe we'd not do it form the time we got engaged to the wedding, but with a 2 yr, 11 month engagements..could you IMAGINE? I'm not sure. i was thinking maybe 3 mos? The wedding' so far away that I'm not sure yet. i want to wait at least some period of time, but I'm not sure,\...we'll see...I'll let you know
