Boston Terrier and Beagle mix.

I am looking to get a puppy and recently fell in love with one that the lady described as a 'boston Beagle' A mix btwn a boston terrier and beagle. To me this sounds like a mutt. But she made it seem like it is some new breed. Anyway. I really don't care what it is... I really want it. I am dying because FH won't let me get it bc it is 899$. Is this a lot for this kind of dog? I don't want to spend this much but i love this dog. I also think it is a lot for a mixed breed dog. Am I wrong? How much did you guys pay for dogs, if you don't mind me asking? I really want this dog. I already name her.

As far as I know there is no such thing as a 'boston beagle.' It is a mutt.
Who is the woman selling the puppy? Where did you find her? Are you sure she is a reputable breeder and not just a puppy mill/backyard breeder?
ETA: Our boston terrier was $800.

She is at a small clean pet store.. I know.. but NOT like Petco. it is called Guppies to Puppies on N. Jersualem Ave. in Levittown.

You have to be careful buying from a pet store since you don't know where they are getting the puppies from. They could well be getting their puppies from puppy mills. I have friends that have bought puppies from pet stores and they are fine, but your taking a chance. It's better to find a breeder. Good Luck.

BTW, Boston Terriers are awesome dogs. I love my little Rocky.

We got Rocky from a breeder in Texas. Where did you get yours from?

No I live in Queens. I was recommended to this breeder by a friend who had also gotten her puppy from her.

you mentioned in your other post that you don't want a howler... so i would probably stay away from beagles or beagle mixes. they can be very loud!

Yes, I agree....

I noticed it too, that you did not want a howler. Go for another breed, no hound dogs. They constantly sing/bay

i hate to be like this, but a) its a mutt!!! dont spend that much for it!!! (i am selling 'mutts' and wouldnt EVER dream about pricing them that high) b) dont EVER EVER EVER buy from a pet shop/// EVER
c)its gonna be a howler!

I got my boston from a breeder out east...she was $600, we first got our mini pin from a pet store, I love to go there and look, but will never again buy one from one.
