Bottles of wine as favors

Bottles of wine as favors

I really want to give full bottles of Pindar wine as my favor. I emailed pindar out east and they said it is $7.99 with a 20% discount and the labels will be $60.00. Is anybody else giving the wine bottles as favors and if so, how much is it costing.
Thanks so much.

I went through the Pindar store in Port Jeff. For some reason they were cheaper than the vineyard itself.

its usually always more expensive to buy wine directly from the winery--costco sells it cheap..

Yes, pindar out east said it is 25% off instead of 20% off at the port jeff store. It still comes out to more than I thought. How much is it in costco Michelle, do you know?

Re: Bottles of wine as favors

Hi!

I ordered ours through the Pindar store in Port Jeff - we ended up with bottles that were normally $8.95, less a 20% discount.

We recently stopped at the DuckWalk Vineyard on our trip out East, and they had a similar selection, all at the same prices, but offered a 25% discount. However, you must pay a $10 membership fee, and you have to pick up the bottles yourself (which is a hike - they're located in Watermill)

So we decided to just order from Port Jeff, and get the labels right across the street...thanks to JennRenee for the suggestion!

Re: Cindy-Bottles of wine as favors

well I live in CA--so I know a lot of brides out here can buy small bottle of wine in the supermarkets and in Costco and they are real cheap--but its worth a call at a Costco or Sams by you and see if they sell them...

Cindy - which type of wine were you thinking about? Keep in mind that they can order any Pindar or Duck Walk from out East - it's not limited to their stock.

I want to get Pindar wine. At the winery they said they will give 20% off and they said if I went to the port jeff store that I would get 25%off. Hoe much did it come to per bottle?

Re: Teri

That's odd - I could have sworn I was given the opposite! 25% off at the vineyard, and 20% off at Pindar store....oh well! I don't remember the breakdown per bottle, but the total was within my budget (bet. $500-600)...the discount really helps - I think it's totaling around $150 off.

I wanted to get the wine from Duckwalk...(one of the first bottles of wine me and my fiance shared...bought only because we liked the duck on the bottle...lol). Can you tell me what they told you? Just so I know when I call? Can you do the order over then phone and just drive out to pick it up?

As far as labels, what are you guys doing? Are you getting labels made and putting them on yourself or is this something that the wine place will do for you? What will your bottles look like with the label?

How long before you wedding are you placing the order? How long do they need?

Re: bridetobe

I am getting married in August and looking to do this very soon. I am looking into getting Pindar wine. I am going to go to the Port Jefferson store. Once I have more info, I will pass it on to you. I would think you would have to go to the winery out east for yours. Like you, Pindar was the first wine we ever shared and going to pindar was our second date and we always talk about it.
