Saturday I went to Sears to buy a new printer. I went there because I had a gift card for $50 to use, well which I thought was for $50. Anyway i bought a HP PSC1210 it was $99. The guy rang it up and used my gift card, and guess what...It was only for $30. I could not believe that. I told my friend who bought it for me and he was mad. He said he paid $50 for it. So either the guy messed up and charged him $50 or the guy took the extra $20 for himself. Who knows....
I was so mad to find out the printer doesnt come with the USB cable. I had to go to Staples and pay an extra $25 for a Gold USB cable. I cannot believe how much they get for this cable in a store. I could of gotten it on ebay for around $8 but I needed the printer to print up my resumes.
So I tried the printer, copier and the scanner and it works great. It prints crystal clear and the scanner, copier and printer work great.
If anyone is looking for a 3 in 1, I recommend this one highly.

This is exactly why we didn't go with HP. We just bought an Epson 3-in-1 instead. But in any case, it's so nice to have a single machine that does everything!!
I have the HP PSC 500 and it is AWESOME!!! although I have been thinking of upgrading...to scan faster (mine is 4 years old...and cost $350!!!!!)...YOU WILL LOVE IT
I love the fact that if I need a copy - i can just do it at my computer!!!!
most printers these days don't come with the cable...its a cheap tactic IMO

I was going to get the Lexmark 1175, because that is the one that Danielles dad has and it is simple to use, but Sears only stocks HP. I am glad I went with this model. It is very small, smaller than the Lexmark and it works really well. I couldnt believe what a great color print I got out of this machine.
I had an HP right before this. I had a Laser Jet2p. The only reason why I got a new printer was because the laser jet ran out of toner and i wasnt in the mood to spend $50 on toner and still only have a black and white printer. I spoke to one of my friends for me and he just happens to have some toner laying around so he is going to fill it up and do a little tune up on the printer...So I can still use that one if I want too. Its 14 years old and it still works great.

Congrats! I have a lexmark 3-in-1 and I love it...especially the part about making copies!

Congrats!! Those look cool. Yeah they charge a lot for those cables, mine was $19 at Kmart.

My DeskJet is on its last legs-I think I'm going to pick up an all-in-one this weekend. Thanks for the recommend!
The cables are a killer. Wanna hear something that really bothers me? These retailers pay pennies for them. Talk about a profit!
You'll like the USB. While you may not notice the speed difference (vs. parallel), you won't run into any of the OS or BIOS problems that parallel often causes.

Yeah i know what you mean...The annoying error that you get that says the printer cable is not connected.....
We have an HP 3-in one too, and honestly it's not so hot. We're graphic designers so our standards are higher than the average user... but the scanner is really awful!!
Print quality is OK and we never had a problem faxing. It's mostly the scanner that we HATE!

We have one of those all in one deals too. I think it's really cool, but I wish we just got a better quality printer. We rarely scan, faxed two times and the copier function doesn't work right.

Hey Lori, If I was into Graphics, I would say that this printer, scanner, copier wasnt the best, but for what I need it for it is great....I am happy. I made a good purchase.
