The shawl didn't come with my dress I had to buy it off the street, but my dress is a somewhat lighter than the shawl. Do you think it is going to look weird? I will only be wearing it for a short time at night and not at all during the ceremony or pics.

No i don't think it matters at all. It is one thing if you were wearing it for pics or after the ceremony but for a short time...nobody will notice
