we are doing both---at the last wedding we were at i caught the bouquet....he caught the garter....i guess the saying is true....if you catch the bouquet you are the next to get engaged!!! so we must put other people through the humiliation

My sister (maid of honor) will be getting married the following month, so I will just be giving the bo-k to her. Probably not doing the garter (unless FBIL will definitly catch it...I think it's better not to do it)

After hiding in the bathroom for many bouquet tosses, I am not doing either of these at my wedding. I am also thinking of putting the throwaway bouquet on my parents' gravesite the day after the wedding.

we did neither. we did the anniversary dance where all married couples are asked to dance and then eliminated by the amount of time married. of course me and DH got off first b/c DJ said those married less than 24 hours first. It ended up being a couple that lived across the street from my DH parents whom they have known for years. It went well. But then again, no one came up to me about it. But my mom and sister said it was fine.
that no one said anything.

We didnt do it b/c I had no single friends left and didnt want to toss the bouguet to 2 girls.

There will be very few single guys/gals at my wedding.

But I still want to 'take the garter' off my bride. I love being a ham and don't want to miss out on that.

Does anyone have any good ideas on what I can do with the garter after I take it off the bride. There will only be two single guys at my wedding.

We weren't going to, but got tons of complaints from our friends. We are the first out of our group of friends to get married and they all want to do it... so now we're doing both
