I'm an '07 Bourne Bride too I actually have a question about tastings etc. I emailed Ben in Feb and he said tastings start in April...I emailed him again last week and haven't heard back. Does anyone have a phone number for him or know anything about scheduling tastings?

My centerpieces are silver-plated champagne buckets (bought them on ebay for about $10/each--that way everyone can just take the whole centerpiece home) with the white pumpkin on top & purple stephanotis under it instead of the white, and the flowers on the table in the mint julep cups will be Black Magic roses and dark purple (almost black) irises. I'm getting chair covers in ivory--I spoke with Ben and he said the linens are ivory, but they don't include chaircovers, so i have to get an outside vendor for that. My dress is ivory so I hope that looks good. I'm not sure what color tie-back to get for the chair covers though. My BM's are wearing black. I know the ball room has gold leaf accents and the chairs are gold, hence the covers--I'm trying to minimize the gold since the CPs are silver. So, I'm not sure if I should go with a black tie-back for the chairs? Silver? or Ivory? Any suggestions?

FM Sept07bride she is one of my bm's and I am one of her bm's. She is getting married this sept and her theme is black and red. She is using some great vendors for linens and stuff. Good Luck!

I'm a Sept '08 Bourne bride, any tips or ideas for a rookie? From what I understood, I don't really need to start doing anything further until next Spring. What's the story with tastings? Any good band recommendations? Thanks!

Okay ladies - is the Bourne Mansion an uber expensive place? I've read a few postings and i'm not sure I should even attempt to fall in love with a place we can't afford.

I'm looking at a January 20th, 2008 date!!!
