Boutenier (sp?) Question...

Boutenier (sp?) Question...

I'm assuming that the groom is supposed to have a different color boutenier than the groomsmen... If the groomsmen bout is the color of the bridesmaids dresses, what color bout would the groom have??

The florist i went to made these suggestions...
Since my flowers were going to be red roses with white steponotes with either crystals or pearls in it depending on my dress and berries. The grooms bout was goign to be the same. The girls were going to have the same thing but in pale colors minus the steponotes and that is what the grooms men were going to have also with the berries minus the steponotes (sp??) the fathers were going to be just roses in the pale color with a small orchid type flower which were going to match the mothers..

Very complicated if you ask me.

MY FH definitely wanted a white rose (it'll actually be ivory because my dress is ivory), but my florist said that his bout should match my bouquet. I think that it's nice to have some flowers from my bouquet for him and from the BM's for the groomsmen. They should compliment one another.

my bo-k is red so Fh flower will be red...my girls will have white flowers so the groomsen will have white flowers...

My bm's wore red, so the gm's wore red bouts. I wore ivory, so DH wore an ivory bout.

I'm carrying a monochromatic red bo-k and FH is wearing a white bout.

My BM's are wearing black and carrying a monochromatic red & pink bo-k and the GM's are wearing a red bout.

My FH nixed the whole boutonniere idea last night, which I found kind of weird. He hates them. Don't know what the rest of the crew will say...

My bo-k will be white mini calla lillies, ivory cream and sterling silver roses, lavender lisanthus and the girls are going to be the mini white callas, and different shades of lavender roses. My FH bout will me a mini white calla and the groomsmen will be a lavender rose. I love calla lilies!
