BOUTONNIERES (with FH's opinion added) NOW WITH MORE OF FH's ANSWER

Bryan hates them. Is it bad if they guys dont wear them? He said the choice is mine. I said personally I think they look nice but its really his decision ..

What do you girls think?

His response:

truly though, either way. i don't care. but if you ask me, i don't need it.

and if the purpose is to stand out, no thanks. i want to slip in and out of the shadows like a ninja so i can hear people talking about me.

MORE OF FH's REASON --

yeah i'm not really into flowers at all- definitely not on my person.

why not just throw one behind my ear? it's a bit too much FLAIR *jazz hands* for me

and when someone scans over the crowd at the wedding, i don't necessarily want to be sending out the bat signal to every drunken well-wisher that says, 'I AM THE GROOM, RIGHT HERE, PLEASE COME TELL ME THAT YOU LIKED THE WEDDING BUT YOU WOULD HAVE DONE A FEW THINGS DIFFERENTLY.'

hes the best

personally I think they should wear them it also helps for them to stand out in the crowd

our guys are not wearing them they are getting hankerchief's instead. FH hates them and IMO by the end of the night they are all crushed and falling off anyone from people hugging, dancing, etc. They will be the only men in tuxedos so I think they will still stand out.

Actually the only men who are wearing them are our Dad's bc I think they wanted too

i think if he hates them, it's not a huge deal if he doesn't wear one ..... but i do like them, personally

ita... what if they do really simple, small ones? these were ours and they weren't huge or extravagant or anything

It depends. If they are wearing tuxes then yeah it should be pretty obvious they are the wedding party.
But if they are doing simple suits I think if you don't do bouts you should do something so that they stand out.

Try googling unconventional bouts. They don't have to be just the atypical roses.

Maybe if you present some fun alternatives?

If he don't like them I would skip them...He could use a nice pocket square instead...I have seen that done.. It looks very elegant.

love your FI's response. So totally something my FI would say.

In that case I say get rid of it.

It's his wedding day too!

there are so many other options you could do if he doesn't want to do flowers.
i agree that it does make the bridal party stand out. and while the BMs are in dresses that are obvious, sometimes the GM aren't as obvious and feel a little less... 'important'. (that might not be the right word, but its all i could think of)

are you guys following a theme or colors?
