BOUTONNIERES (with FH's opinion added) NOW WITH MORE OF FH's ANSWER

Original post by SoontobeMrs.Brown

Bryan hates them. Is it bad if they guys dont wear them? He said the choice is mine. I said personally I think they look nice but its really his decision ..

What do you girls think?

His response:

truly though, either way. i don't care. but if you ask me, i don't need it.

and if the purpose is to stand out, no thanks. i want to slip in and out of the shadows like a ninja so i can hear people talking about me.

MORE OF FH's REASON --

yeah i'm not really into flowers at all- definitely not on my person.

why not just throw one behind my ear? it's a bit too much FLAIR *jazz hands* for me

and when someone scans over the crowd at the wedding, i don't necessarily want to be sending out the bat signal to every drunken well-wisher that says, 'I AM THE GROOM, RIGHT HERE, PLEASE COME TELL ME THAT YOU LIKED THE WEDDING BUT YOU WOULD HAVE DONE A FEW THINGS DIFFERENTLY.'

hes the best

I enjoy his jazz hands.

DH's bout got smushed directly following the ceremony so we tossed it.

I didn't want the GMs to wear bouts either, but Groomzilla decided he wanted them to wear something but have it be non-floral. We wound up with green berries for the guys which were actually nice and held up all night unlike DH's orchid.

I really like boutonnieres. Honestly, they stayed fresh the whole night and looked really good. And I think the guys wanted to stand out a little, especially since a bunch of our guests wore tuxes and weren't part of the BP. If he doesn't really care, I'd say get them. If he hates them, then you don't want him to be unhappy so maybe think of something else.

we didnt have them. DH didnt want them and i just didnt care. plus they get crushed and are always crooked from people hugging the guys. i doubt anyone noticed. we opted for ren hankerchiefs in the pockets

No.

IMO wearing something tacky looks much worse than wearing nothing.

I still think a simple white linen pocket square, neatly folded, adds a nice touch, but it's not necessary.

yeah he would never do something tacky .. so leaving it just plain then is okay? I dont know why hes so against a pocket square but he is

a ninja with jazz hands!!!!
I love it!!!

I'm making my FH wear one whether he likes it or not. Not that I'm being mean or bossy....but if he 'doesn't care' at the end of the day, then we're gonna do it my way bc I do care. That is all.
