Re: Bow Ties
I'm more of a straight tie and vest kinda girl but if the guy looks good in a bow tie and he wants one, I say why not?

Re: Bow Ties
A tuxedo calls for a bowtie. It looks excellent.
The problem with the long tie 'fad' is twofold. First, it makes a tux look less formal, which is especially problematic if you have guests in tuxes who are actually wearing bowties. Second, a bowtie on a tux can't look dated, since it is correct and timeless -- but what will happen is that in 10-20 years the long ties with the high cut vests WILL look dated (particularly the matchy-matchy look where the colors match the bridesmaid dresses).

Re: Bow Ties
love bow ties. so classic. FH is wearing black vest, black bowtie, black jacket... and the burberry cufflinks i gave him for Christmas
and btw bow ties are very in this season... they were all over the red carpet and runways. i couldn't care less about that lol but some people think they've gone out of style but in fact they're back in.

Ugh, I just finished this argument with FBIL and FSIL last week. I HATE bow ties.....I don't know why, I just hate them (no offense to anyone using them). They remind me of 80's prom or waiters, lol.
ITA! JMO... i may have my RB boys wear them but i haven't decided yet...

Re: Bow Ties
I insisted the guys wear bow ties....no offense cuz clearly everyon has their own taste....but i dont want the groomsman to look like any other man at the party with a long tie on!
FH is wearing an ascot w/a vest, and the GM are wearing bowties w/vests

Re: Bow Ties
FH doesn't want a bow tie - I let him make the decision on this one.
