We went looking at tuxes last night - And my FH wants a tux with Bow Tie and vest!!!! I was unsure about it but it looked good on him
any thoughts on bow ties. . . . . .

i like bow ties and think they look classic. we ended up not having FH or the GM wear them but the dads are!

I like them! Is he thinking black or color? I like both, but a patterned color adds such a sense of whimsy and style. A very cute endearing personal touch in my opinion.
But I'm probably the only bride here who told her FH to wear whatever he wanted

Ugh, I just finished this argument with FBIL and FSIL last week. I HATE bow ties.....I don't know why, I just hate them (no offense to anyone using them). They remind me of 80's prom or waiters, lol.
FBIL wanted to do bow ties so bad and was fighting with me for weeks. But they went last weekend and got the ties, just like I wanted.

I like the look. FH was going to do it, but then liked the way a regular tie looked better. But I say your FH should go for it.

depends on the person and their style, i dont like bow ties on fh and he hates them too lol but ive seen them on some people where it looks good on them

my fh will be in ivory bow tie and vest with a little pattern and the GM will be in a light grey bow tie and vest. . . . I am letting him pick because he had no say in my wedding gown and he looked so happy with it on!
We are going to finalize everything next week with the dads.

i looooove bow ties - very james bond. i hate vests though. FH is wearing black bow tie and GMs are wearing black ties...no vests, no cumberbuns.

FH is a little obsessed with bow ties... he's forcing all of the groomsmen to wear them against their will. And his making them wear the kind you tie yourself...

I love them! We're doing all bow ties (James Bond-style tuxes).
I mean, I don't really care what the boys wear, when it all comes down to it!

I'm not really a fan either. Fh wanted regular ties anyway, so it worked out. There is something nerdy about them JMO.
