Where is a good place to get free boxes? I am moving and I need good size boxes to put all my stuff in.
Where is a good place to get cheap bins to put stuff in? Maybe not rubbermade because they are probably to expensive....I was thinking Target. Is that a good place? Scott

Target usually has pretty good sale prices on that sort of thing. Thats where I buy the containers from when I need them.

Yea, they are cheaper than Target? Damn there isnt a walmart near my job....Maybe I will just goto Target at Lunch time anyway.
Other than the containers, do you know what type of store i can go into to get Free Boxes? I dont want to have to pay for boxes.
Thanks, Scott

Liquor stores usually give away their boxes. I did that last time I moved.

Re: Boxes or those Rubber Made Storage bins
Liquor stores usually have strong boxes - just stop in and ask them before they flatten them. What about at your job? ANy left over boxes from shipments recieved and copy paper boxes are perfect for moving. Let someone in your office know you need them.

Re: Boxes or those Rubber Made Storage bins
I already grabbed a case of boxes from building services, but their boxes arent that big....I will use these and try to go to a liquor store to get more boxes.
Any other ideas?

Supermarkets are a great place to get boxes for moving. They have all kinds are are more than willing to have someone take them off thier shoulders. Just go to the customer service desk and ask.

If you have suitcases, use them to move your clothing.

Re: Boxes or those Rubber Made Storage bins
Bought mine at KMart. Seems to be around the same price as Target's, although I don't know what size bins they have at Target. Mine are pretty huge.

Re: Boxes or those Rubber Made Storage bins
for free boxes, try some clothing stores....I used to work at a Van Heusen outlet and we got shipments everyday and we would give our empty boxes away if someone asked! And they are a decent size too!
I'm getting mine from my warehouse where I work

I'm going to Target at Lunch, so hopefully I can get some good sized bins. I will look into other stores for free boxes too. Thanks

Ok just came back from target. I bought 5 18 gallon Homz bins and 1 32 gallon bin. I am hoping that is all I need...I have to go through all my stuff tonight and throw stuff out.

Re: Boxes or those Rubber Made Storage bins
I cleaned out the garage yesterday. It took me 5 hours to clean...It was gross. I packed the 32 gallon container with car detailing stuff and I still had more car detailing stuff laying around. Thankgod I had two big buckets to put it all in.
