Boy, people love to piss you off and make you upset during your wedding..dont they?

To make a LOOOOOOONG story short, my fathers mother and my uncle (her son) dont speak, havent since 10 years ago, when he moved to florida. They never got along , and when he told her he was gay, she told him 'if i knew u wouldve ben born like that i would have killed you', needless to say, thats waht kind of a person she is.
I hardly see her, shes a terrible woman...
She told my mother if my uncle comes to the wedding, she cant come, Okay.
My uncle has been saying hes going to come...Which I wanted him to.(ive been BUGGING him)
My mother was like iffy about inviitng him, but I pushed it.

NOW he was just online n told me 'i called your house the other day, u picked up when ur mother did, and hung up. taht was rude'.
im like...w t f?? No i didnt..actually i saw ur # on call waiting and i asked my mother when you called...n hes like i think u just dont want me to come to ur wedding.......i wasnt gonna cuz any drama.........but i know when im not wanted, trust me i do

Then hes like i didnt even get an invite yet...so im like i just got a proof the other day....
n then he puts his away msg on 'go f urself'

it really sounds to me like he is tryin to make up any excuse not to come...he hasnt been here in 10 years and hasnt talked to any of his family....

I'm so sorry. It sounds like he's taking out his resentment and anger toward his mother on you. Please don't let him ruin everything for you.

Send invites to all of them. If they decide not to come, so be it.

I totally agree, that way none of them can say 'I wasn't invited'.

sounds like he is just picking a fight and looking for an excuse to not come to the wedding. invite them both and hope for the best

You have my sympathies. My grandmother and my aunt haven't spoked in nearly 30 years. When my sister got married in '04 grandma said if aunt comes she's not coming. Grandma didn't make it.

Two months ago my mother started WWIII with my aunt, who has now said she isn't coming. Thing is, my mother already told my grandmother she couldn't come to my wedding because she didn't come to my sister's.

Family just totally $ucks!!!!

I agree with the above, send the invites to all of them-that makes you the better person. If they don't come then fine, but at least they can never say that they weren't invited. People suk that is the bottom line. It is your wedding & you should be happy

Yuou cannot be worried about who is goign to argue with who on the most important dayof your life. You have worked TOO hard preparing for this day to have it ruined by an outburst from your gramma or this uncle. This is a decade long issue, and it shoud not be made yours.

yes. and often people who live an alternative (and i don't just mean gay/lesbians...religious, social...) lifestyle are either very oppressing and push their beliefs on you OR they take immediate insult and resentment. it's not just your family (we have some cult-like religious fanatics in my family to whom i have been known to 'put in their place' from time to time for being so pushy), almost everyone has someone in their family that does things like this...we're only human. just call him later and let him know 'in person' (as opposed to IM) that you really want him to come and that he hasn't received an invite b/c no one has! it will get better, i promise!!

It's not fair for him to put this on you now, but also understand that's he's been on the defensive for all these years now. For all he knows, other family members could be pushing you to not invite him, and so he's already assuming the worst.

But again, it's not fair for him to treat you this way, especially now.

You just cant win with some people. Send the invite, if he comes good, if not, well at least you did the right thing and sent an invitation even after he had his little temper tantrum.
