Sooo, I know that its really hard times right now for everyone as far as money is concerned. So thats why last night I got an overwhelming sense of guilt when I thought of my BP paying for their dresses. My brother(he's a gm) mentioned his GF (one of my BM's) is really broke, but I shouldn't have to worry b/c he's going to help pay for her dress (which is really Noble). But it made me start to feel HORRIBLE. I kept the cost below $250, but most places expect like more than half of a deposit.
Is anyone else feeling the guilt trip? I want to help out as much as possible, but I can only go so far... my budget doesn't have much room.
Also, does anyone know of anyways that I can cut the cost for the BP dresses? The dress is picked out already, just not ordered.

Re: BP Dresses and $$$$$ money $$$$
I think Commack Bridal Super Center or something like that will 'copy' a dress. I would show them the dress and ask them if they could do any better on the price.
Good luck. Did you buy your mega millions tickets?

I felt really guilty like you too, my dress was $240 but then two girls needed extra length, then tax, it came to almost $300! I felt horrible and told me girls this but they assured me they didn't mind spending the money.
I am going to try to pay for their hair and makeup to help with the cost.

They said they didn't mind either, but I know the true circumstances. It bothers me.
I think I will pay for all their mani/pedis. Like have a mani/pedi party the day before the wedding, like a morning thing. I was thinking about doing this for them for a while. Serve Momosa's and bloody Mary's, little breakfast foods, get some mani/pedi's etc.

Re: BP Dresses and $$$$$ money $$$$
yeah i am def gonna keep the dresses to like around $150 if I can. I wont pick a specific shoe but just give them the color/style guidelines that way they can spend as much or as little as they want. They won't be obligated to do hair/makeup (if they are okay with doing it themselves or somewhere cheaper), and i will be buying their doj.

I definately think that you doing a mani/pedi day will help the girls a bit with money...Sometimes mani/pedi's can be expensive (depending on where you go...) Also don't make their hair/makeup mandatory, let them do what they want (If they want to do their own makeup...go to their hair stylist...) Also, shoe's...let them wear whatever shoes they want (its can be something they already have or something cheap that if they really want a new pair they can get themselves) just give them a color and let them take care of it themselves

Re: BP Dresses and $$$$$ money $$$$
Try not to stress it...the girls are doing this bc they love you and want to take part in your day. If they really couldnt do it they would say something to you...it will all work out!!!

I'm def. going to let them choose to do their own hair, makeup and shoes.... DOJ I will handle, mani/pedi's I have a hook up so that will help! I'm starting to feel better a little...

Yea I'm doing the mani/pedi thing already too, I think its a cute idea. I would wait to see what happens in the next few months. The girls know how much the dress will be so they should be saving, that's what I do at least for the weddings I am in this year. But like I said, you never know what the coming months hold for these girls, they could get raises, bonus', new jobs, etc. So don't stress too much
