Any one have good suggestions for BP gifts?

MY MIL does bead work and has elected to make the jewelry, so I'm thinking of some / all for the following
- the small handmande wallet/ bag in theis months MS magazine, its silk and I think its really cute. It could hold the jewelry
-a bottle of their favourite perfume
-a good summer reading book (May wedding)
-Pier One candle

or if I find a better idea on these pages

handmade jewelry for your wedding? That's amazing! Unfortunately we are the furthest thing from being handy in our family ... how much will you be spending per person? How many in your bridal pty?

Thats a difficult questions. A lot depends on the budget, as perfume can be expensive, but I was thinking $ 50- $ 100 per person, and maybe a little more for the MOH.
My MIL is picking up the cost of the jewelry materials and making the jewelry, so that really can't be a gift from me

Also, Stef gave me an idea for the bridal lunch thing- she took her girls to see a polay, which am thinking of also, depending on $$ at the time

I have 3 BM and a MOH, which I guess is small so that might give me more flexibility with budgets.

I got the girls
-monogrammed Gap bathrobe
-bath fizz, lotion, bath scrubby thing, mini-yankee jar candle
and it all goes into a pretty basket I got on super duper sale at Michael's

I got my sister (Maid of Honor) a beautiful pin to use in her bouquet and a collector plate (something we love) about sisters,a mini-book about sisters, paid for 1/2 of her dress in addition to above

I got my best friend (Matron of Honor) a pair of earrings, mini book about friendship and paid for 1/2 of her dress and her daughter's dress (my Jr. BM) in addition to above

My flower girl got a sterling silver cross and bridal party. My nephew (4 yrs old) one of my RB is getting a personalized Piggy Bank (he LOVES mine) and Scott's nephew (7 yrs old) our other RB is getting a personilzed desk clock (he loves office and desk things for his room)
All of the little ones are also getting candy filled gift bags. They each get a coloring books/crayons for the ceremony to help keep them busy.

The GMs got some different gifts since they are all very different people.
-monogrammed travel golf bag
-monogrammed shot glasses
-monogrammed William-Sonoma brass/leather coaster
-monogrammed Eddie Bauer duffle bag

All of the parents are getting special hankies that were personalized.

Are you having a christian wedding, are your BP christian ? - you could get personalised Christmas tree ornaments, or make them. The girls here could probably give you ideas on how to make them

We got my moh (my sister) a 'Big Sister' Lladro. She collects them.

Best Man: A David Yurman bracelet. (I'm greek orthodox and in our tradition, the best man buys the favors, wedding necessities for the ceremony, & tips the priest & organist at the church), so we wanted to get him something nice.

Groomsmen: Channel traveling kit (with a bunch of stuff inside)

Bridesmaids: (gold ball earings & paying for manicure & pedicure)

Flower Girls: paid for dresses & bought them 'Little Women' book so they can read when they get older. It was my favorite book.

Ringboys: (Books & toys)

I am paying for 150 of each of the girls dresses. This weekend I am taking them to the spa since I will be in town and we are buying the dresses. My sister will get a wine of the month membership (she lovesssss red) her husband will get a microbrew beer of the month membership. My cousin will get a whole lotta spa things and I am not sure about his sister yet. My cousin did a great thing for hers where we got all kinds of personalized beauty items. I will ask her where she got it from and pass on the info to you girls.

Wow!!! some really great ideas, girls. I'm hoping to do something nice, even though we're on a budget. We're paying for the wedding ourselves, as many of you probably are, so I have to be creative.

Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I bought my girls a sheer black wrap to wear over their strapless dress (wedding is end of Oct and it may be cold - and it can be used again) and then Coach Cosmetic bags-wine colored-matched their dresses. I gave it to them last week and they loved it!

I spent a lot on my bridesmaids. I got each of them a Fendi purse to go with their bm dresses:

I'm paying for their hotel the night before, their hair the day of and I'm taking them out for 'High Tea' at Lady Mendl's downtown.

I think it's still easy to be on a budget and get something thoughtful and nice though.
I LOVE the monogrammed robes idea or pajamas and spa stuff. I'd imagine that most girls would love that sort of thing, or even just a spa lit with bublles, lotion and candles (for a nice relaxing bath AFTER the wedding is all over. EVERY girl loves taking baths, right?)
I also like the picture frame idea, with the promise to fill it with a pic of you and the bridesmaid after you get your wedding pics back. Then you can send a pic for the frame with a nice thank you for their efforts. Inexpensive and IMO very thoughtful.

I love the bag & spa gift suggestion! & High Tea !! Wow! That'll be such a wonderful day for you & your girls. I love to cook, bake etc. so maybe something along the lines of brunch ... I'm not sure.

Keep the ideas coming, girls. I love to hear, even if I can't splurge as much as I would like!

I have 8 girls and i have no idea how much I am spending yet, I want to keep it under $100.

I am thinking of giving them gift certificate to where we are getting our hair and makeup done, probably wont cover whole thing. Also a celtic knot necklace if I can ever find one I like. and then maybe a bag each to fit there different personalities.

I really wanted to do the spa day together but I dont think I can afford it. I was thinking of doing this for one of my friends who really is helping me lots, also would love to do for sis and cousin, but both live out of state, so who knows.

Also got my sister a Maid of Honor doll - Madame alexander.

I went to the QVC outlet in Pennyslvania and saved a lot of money. Every girl , 6 of them are getting a sterling silver diamonique necklace, a jewlery box which I also got on sale and a gift certificate for a manicure. My MOH, my sister, and acting Mom of the bride (my mom and dad have passed away) is getting a weekend trip at a Marriot, I know they have these great weekend deals . My best advice to you is to shop early and look for sales. I saved a bundle!
