BP help/advice

i need some advice...,one of my friends who was going to be a BM booked her vacation on my wedding day so she said that she wont me making it.

I have a friend who was a best friend since i was in seventh grade who i honestly thought i would ask but we hadn't spoken in almost a year (i don't have facebook but i am positive that if i was on it we would have stayed more in touch) we recently started talking again and she is one of those friends that you could pick up right where you left off even if you don't see them for a while.

We talked about the wedding and she knew i was having three and who they are. I told her that i had wanted her to be in my BP but i didn't think i would get in touch with her because she moved and i changed my number which i really did.Now we talk alot more, more than i talk to my other friends. i would like to ask her but i don't want her to feel like i am only asking because i want to fill the space but because i really want her to be there. I would have wanted to asked her if the one hadn't dropped out

any advice about how to go about this? is she going to think that i am asking just because one dropped out even if i say its not... because honesty if i was her and in this position i would think that they were only asking because they need a space filled even if they said they weren't

i don't think you need to tell her that someone dropped out right now... if you felt like you were going to ask her anyway since your relationship has changed, there is nothing wrong with saying that given how close you two have become again you would love for her to be in the wedding.

She knows they did already

Why not just ask her, and then plan some outing (brunch? lunch? tea? underwater basket weaving?) for all of your BP. That way you are happy and get to have her as part of your day, but also she realizes that you really do want her there and she's not just a filler. It also then gives everyone an excuse to get together and have some fun.

On another note, you may even be over thinking it....ask her, who knows, maybe she'll be so excited that thought won't even occur to her. And if she does ask then just tell her that you were going to ask anyway b/c you want her there.
